Fusion is no longer a mere dream in a pure scientific research area, but offers a broad range of industrial challenges and development in order to achieve it.

The implementation of fusion energy recently entered into the construction phase for the world’s first net energy producing fusion machine “ITER” in Cadarache, France. Therefore, industrial attendance to the SOFT conference has gained important momentum during recent SOFT editions.

On behalf of the EU ITER Industry Liaison Officers (ILO) network, Iterbelgium and ITER-NL, the Belgian and the Dutch platforms for ITER interested industry, are inviting the industrial fusion community to be present at SOFT 2012 in Belgium.

The edition of SOFT 2012 will offer an ideal time frame and opportunity for industry
- to set up business meetings between international consortium partners already involved in the ITER project,
- to get visibility as a potential technology supplier for ITER tender actions after 2012 and for other fusion related infrastructures worldwide,
- to strengthen the pool of innovative companies active in fusion technology derived spin-off applications
- to be an industrial sponsor of the event and getting press attention at SOFT 2012.

More details for Industry booths and practical arrangements will follow later on the SOFT 2012 website.
